Latentism is a blog. It has no accounts, comments, newsletter or forms, so it never asks you for your name, email address or any other personal details.
Google Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4, a service from Google, to understand how many people read it and which posts are useful. When you visit a page, Google Analytics collects information such as:
- the pages you view and how long you stay
- the site or search that brought you here
- your browser, device type, screen size and language
- your approximate location, such as country or city
This information is used only for aggregate statistics about the site. It is not used to identify you, and it is not sold. Google processes it as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Cookies and local storage
- Google Analytics cookies (named
_gaand_ga_*) tell repeat visits apart from new ones. - Theme preference: if you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.
Search runs in your browser against a static index, so your search terms are not sent to anyone.
How to opt out
- Install Google's opt-out browser add-on.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser's settings.
- Use a content blocker; most block Google Analytics by default.
The site works the same with analytics blocked.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes requests, including IP addresses, to serve pages and protect the site from abuse. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
